I got that myself and maybe it's the air circulation thing that lets air from outside? After switching the circulation to internal only I didn't have any untoward smells.

I think whether you can use the Clio RS as a daily or not depends a lot on the condition of your roads. I live in London and most of the roads are crap. I really do suffer a lot getting about and I have to slow down in sympathy for the car and for myself. But once I get to good B-roads...
