I have ordered a brand new set of Direzzas for the car now. It seems outrageous to spend so much money knowing that the tyres are going to be abused and replaced within 6 months to a year. I hate to think what people pay for tyres in a race season. We were due to go to Donington Park in March...

The wear rate is what I am concerned about. If Direzzas wear at a slower rate then we will probably go for Direzzas over the A052s.

We got the track wheels back from Rolling Rims today. The extra set of Speedlines that we had in the parts bin have been refurbed and are now a stunning Clio Williams gold colour. Rolling Rims have done a good job with the wheels. For an extra £60 they even came and collected the wheels...

Were you booked on for two days of track day action or just the Monday?

Most track cars have got bumps and scrapes on them. I wandered around the paddock at Brands Hatch on Sunday for a 750MC meet and almost every Clio I saw had some kind of ding or dent in it. As long as your car can pass the 10m test then it will be fine.

The rear axle camber can only be adjusted by adding shims. I don't understand why they didn't even out the front camber?

Nice. Is the Megane your new daily driver or is it going to replace the Clio in the future?

I have bought tickets to Brands Hatch in two weeks (the Sunday) - it will be good to see this go round the track as fast as you can push it.
