Sold the Meglio Cup Car... Now project 205...

Exactly mate. They will not let you wear one. My best time that day was 8 seconds quicker than the midland speed championship class winning car that year lol. Got told off for 'racing!'

@A1axx Your car was mentioned in a other thread related to "rigid collars" but as I was told you actually converted the front to a Cup axle and didn't do the mod in question.

But there is something else that caught my attention related to something you said about original Renault drive shafts.

From factory they aren't actually true, the drivers side shaft in particular.

Is this related to "standard" or Cup ones? I'm asking because we've a guy over here that has a problem with wobbling under certain conditions mainly felt through the steering wheel. He has replaced many parts and checked lots of things but not measured the shaft(s) IIRC.

Btw, saw the "last night" photo on insta.

Yea the shafts I had were not 'true' slight wobble, however I didn't notice it even at good speed!

So you were talking about the normal ones you converted to Cup dimensions, right?

The 205 was quick up that hill but no wonder with that make over. Wish I would have had something like that throttle body on my 1.6 GTi back in the days. :thumb:
