Nicole ? Papa ! - Clio 197 F1

glad you had a good time..Oulton is a good track for a clio..shame it was wet though..

Sounds a hoot! Glad the track dried as the day progressed. Much better that way round than starting dry and getting wet.
Clios very capable little cars. Can't wait to get back out in mine.
Bedford 4th November if you fancy it:wink:

Time for some titivation.

Dirty, grubby dusty

After the track session the car was looking a little worse for wear. Very dusty around the wheels and just generally grotty.

As I live in a flat I just use a local jet wash and do it myself rather than getting it washed by one of those dodgy drive in places.

Car was really bad:

I had some magic wheel cleaner stored away and wanted to give it another shot. I wasn’t really impressed previously but this time it really did work.

You can see how bad the wheels were here:

After soaking each wheel and giving the car a blow over with the water and wax (never use the brush) the car was better but not immaculate. It’ll do for now!

I have to make a small confession too... These blue wheels are really growing on me!

They even look good in a moody Manchester car park.

So all in all I still love the car, I get a fair few positive comments, the latest from a taxi driver at a set of lights in town today.

My next plan?

I really don’t know, I may book on another trackday soon. I know the MOT is looming so I’ll need to see what the outcome is here before planning anything. A steering wheel retrim is looking like the next little step but we shall see!
