Roshi's Progress Thread

Finally got round to doing 2 wee jobs that have been doing my head in.... gear knob clean and yellow steering wheel stitching.

Ordered a mate of mine some leather cleaner and conditioner using my Amazon Prime. It arrived yesterday and I thought it was only polite that I test it out on my gear knob first for him [emoji23] after scraping the ‘shit’ out of the numbers and and grooves on the gear knob.

Heres a few before and afters. Stupid wee things but will make me much happier when in the motor lol

And just another pic of the car to throw in just cause

My kind of tinkering. And the satisfaction afterwards.

I’m with you 200% on the annoyance of that ‘stuff’.....

A job well done that man !!

Another update on the inside of the car this time!

Last week I bought some dash trim from a Renault breakers with the intention to try and spray myself (wasn’t too worried as it was a spare set and worth a shot). After some spraying advice from sevenfourate I set off at a very slow pace and took nearly a week to do it as to make sure I wasn’t rushing and I must say I’m extremely impressed with how they turned out, much better than I though I could do so I’m well pleased [emoji3] much thanks to @sevenfourate for his help and advice [emoji1360]

Ordered some RenaultSport stickers from the following link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/182733716776

Can’t recommend the guy enough. He sent me a few colours upon request as I couldn’t decide what I wanted! What a guy!

Looks absolutely top notch. I was never sure about using colours other than the gray-black range for the trim but this looks really nice! Especially with the white trim around the floor mats....

I’ve tried to spray many things before but I’m too impatient for it and always overspray, drip or make it uneven. With this set being a spare I was able to take much more care and time with it. Well pleased with the result of it [emoji4]

My thinking exactly, if it’s a spare set and I don’t like the white then I can just keep stripping and restarting until I get something I like. I think standard it looks quite dull and lifeless inside.

Now I think my centre console looks out of place but at the same time definitely don’t want it white lol

good effort mate..nothing better than some diy, right??
whats your pc set up??looks powerful..

It’s a decent enough rig. Don’t know the exact makes/models but will throw a pic up from Speccy later.

Reckon we should get a proper PC build/setup thread going :thumb:

I was thinking the same but didn’t want to be that guy [emoji23]

Traditionally people that are into cars aren’t really interested in PC’s or pc gaming more specifically you would think.

I’m in to all sorts of shit. Especially tech/gadgets [emoji851]
