no i must admit i have always been android. I had htcs before this.
Personally i struggle with iphones, i actually find it difficult to find options and so forth.
Admittedly the earlier androids were shite but the s8 is awesome. My POTM was taken with my s8 too.

Hers is a s5 neo or something... I have the exact same thing - struggle to find things, guess it's just what you're used too!

My 6plus still takes cracking pics, don't think there's many bad cameras on modern smartphones these days!

Owuch!

Vodafone got a pre-order on the iPhone X for £74/month.. tis a bit steep lol!

I pay a tenner more a month with EE for a 7 and an iPad mini 4! That's crazy money just for a phone.. :excited:

Yeah well looking into it, the cheapest you buy the phone for over 2 years is £41... (basically 1000/24)... so add data and minutes into that and can soon realise why it's going to be expensive p/m...

And that's just the 64GB one! Well on the way to three figures with the 256GB with a fair sized data plan...

I bought the 7 Plus yesterday and am perfectly happy with it. I just needed a bigger screen so I don’t cock up so many words when I type! For me, the 8 and X don’t offer me enough to warrant spending at least £180 more for the 8 Plus, or £380 for the X. I think this is year that people will just not fall for it as much as they did in previous years. I personally hate the fact of losing the bezel. I don’t need wireless charging or a 25% faster processor. It makes you wonder how we ever coped without all this back in the day!

I have an iPhone 6. Would like a 7/8 or X but I do like the fact the 6 does what I need and if it gets dropped/damaged/put down the toilet by some little person its not the end of the world. The newer phones just would be a little faster and have a few features which are nice to have but I don't need them really.

After saying this I ordered an iPhone 8 yesterday.

iPhone 10 looks good but £999 and I'm not sure about FaceID yet - has anyone (banks etc...) said they will support it?

Chuck in some extra data etc and it would be close to rivalling my first mortgage which was only £125 a month !

I'm getting old...

I like the look and spec of the iPhone X, but like yourself, I would struggle to justify such an expense on a phone. Is it because even with my failing memory, I still remember what that sort of things that money used to get me?

To be fair that was 40gb of data but still very expensive! Bloody wish I could get a mortgage of £125 now (that's not a shed...)!!

Can't find any other pre order prices of the x get on any other network..

£125 p/w would do!!

So I've been ignoring calls from carephone warehouse for a good month as the upgrade is due (and waiting for the iPhone unveiling!)

I now look at my upgrade options, and just for the iPhone 8 they want a £70 up front cost and £67 per month (unlimited calls / texts / 5GB data)..... SERIOUSLY! I feel it's daylight robbery I've been paying £40 p/m on my current iPhone 6!

I'm thinking with going on a sim only deal, much more data and between £10-15 per month! Can I really justify paying £1000+ on the iPhone X, not at all (especially as its car insurance month!) but that's not to say I don't want it :worried:

I'm looking at ways I could probably afford it, and I'm thinking of selling my iMac as I have no room for it in my flat, and it's not been turned on for over a year!
