Just read the report about Renault/RB split on BBC Sport. Yeah, it does seem that RB were quick to forget who helped them to all those titles.... smacks a lot of a superiority complex on RB's part. The article also brings up the fact that Ricciardo and Verstappen might not want to stick around if the Honda engine is still a box of bolts in 2019...

Ferrari have signed an option on Verstappen for 2019, at least according to Sky F1 last night.

I imagine when they finally realise what a relative waste of space Kimi is in their car  Max and Hamilton 2019 pairing at Ferrari????

I think Hamilton will sign a new 3-year deal with Mercedes at the end of this year, so I think any chances of him being at Ferrari are gone unfortunately. Ferrari have long had a policy of having no.1 and no.2 drivers so can't see them having 2 top drivers. Wouldn't be surprised if Kimi was still there in 3 years....

Tongue firmly in cheek there, so yeah totally agree with you Sean. On all points

Hopefully Renault do tell Red Bull to fuck off, and Porsche tell Horner and Marko to piss off too.

lol!

my dad and i always watched F1 on the bbc (loved the murray and hunt show) and were shocked when it was announced that skyTV would be taking over. watching it now on the german RTL channel (christian danner is one of the presenters and is very knowledgeable. shame his co-presenter is an arse.) because belgian commentary is absolutely pants. never bothered to look for a stream. maybe i should.

I watch the practice sessions at work on this stream http://cricfree.sc/sky-sports-f1-live-stream-

Hunt and Murray Walker didn't get on at first, Walker didn't approve of his lifestyle. There were some funny moments though

There's a brilliant "Legends of F1" series on Sky and one of them was all about Murray. He was saying in those early days they only had one microphone between them and James used to snatch it off Murray in the middle of him talking!

That's huge news if true! Kimi will surely be gone by then, so where does that leave the little bitch? Can't imagine Max going there to be his number 2!

I think Merc will want Vettel if/when Hamilton retires!

I think the very best thing that could happen for the viewers would be to see Lewis and Pettel in the same car. Would be absolute carnage and thoroughly entertaining.

Plus I'm convinced all the Sebby Lovers would get a very rude awakening.

If that's how it goes though, I could see Lewis extending his contract just to spite Seb and force him to stay at Maranello and fight against Max.

Whatever way it goes, should be very very interesting.

Alonso on the radio in FP1-

Engineer - "do you want to try another run?"
Alonso - "no, please no!" (commentators all laugh)
Engineer - "ok copy Fernando, you're P7 at the moment"
Alonso - "with Renault we could be P1"

He really can't resist sticking the boot in LOL

@Sean197 HILARIOUS!

Fernando's radio has been one of the best things of the last few seasons. "GP2 engine" is still my favourite.

Seems Ferrari have a fight on their hands in Singapore from what we've seen in P1 so far!

All the news is starting to unfold and become official now.

Sainz only loaned to Renault rather than signing outright, which will allow Gasly to drive for Toro Rosso next year.
Horner also hinting that Red bull have something in the pipeline with Aston Martin, although that prick just likes the sound of his own voice so it may be bullshit!

Renault telling RB where to go is a very interesting development I didn't see coming. Depends what happens with the Aston / Porsche news when it hits.

Big news day for F1 all round.

The Sainz loan hasn't been confirmed but it's a wise move if true. I think he's really good.

HAHAHAHA. Couldn't ask for anything better at the start of this GP. :uk:
