RS Megane MK4

I like it. Shame my local Renault want £420 a month just for a GT, imagine this would be closer to £500pm..

Personally I think it looks great, the interior is just lovely and a great step up moving forward for Renault. Circa 30k though? plus I wonder what options are available..There's plenty of other very good cars in that price bracket, it's got a lot to compete with. Top marks though, I'm quite a fan.

Anyone seen any data suggesting what its weight might be?

Like me, it looks like it's put on a bit since the Meg III Trophy days

@sevenfourate Just watched the car throttle vid while on my break with the sound down...in my head he was say 'So why the f^^k did you put a huge chrome badge on it...needs to be black'.

Seriously though its not a bad looking car i really like the colour - now is it me or is it all very Seat Leon?

Would be a serious daily/family car.

Not bad. Nothing like mad enough though.

Maybe they have plans to do a full nutbox version!

Agree 100% its just very obvious they are gunning for the LEON Cupra which is a pity, to me Renault Sport should set the bar in this market - still would have for a daily!.

Its a bit like the new Focus RS as it is its just not bonkers enough, that civic type r though looks right...pity about the colour in the video.

I think that's the problem with most 'hot hatches' these days, the companies are too worried about not appealing to everyone so excessive styling, 3 doors, bigger engines have all gone out of the window.

I understand it's practical for people to have 5 doors, a more economical engine and a non 'midlife crisis' lairy look but to me that's exactly what a hot hatch should be and it's why I'm struggling to find anything worthy of replacing the R27 at the moment.

I just hope it's a bit more engaging than some late R.S. offerings.

The Trophy should hopefully be more 'nutbox' Mes (or at least we can only hope).
Overall, I don't think there's anything not to like, especially with the gearbox, chassis and wheel (1.8kg per wheel weight saving!) options - good call I say!

Not the best looking thing in the world, but I thought that about the mk4 Clio and that has now grown on me. Looking forward to seeing how it drives.

And that should be what matters most of all of course!

Knowing Renault, they'll make something we all go absolutely crazy for and then tell us we can't have it!

I like it! Maybe a tad restrained styling wise, but that's better for me than the Civic type R which I think is trying too hard in that area. If it drives as well as the Civic, or better than it I'd be very keen, though I would want a Trophy.
