Tractor Boy

say what?! There was a beer tent?!

Ah shame mate! Yeah definitely buddy!

Cheers! How did it sound in action?? I have video, but it was taking a bit of time to get settled in with the car tbh. Cup 2's were fucking awesome though!

Sounded great!

Cup 2's are awesome indeed! Short life though. But a good one

Did you see me when I was having the battle with the white 200? Was proper comical! He had the better brakes, but I was able to exit quicker. Real nip and tuck stuff!

I now know that ds2500's are no good up front as well, so it's going to have larger diameter 2 piece J hook discs up front and some ds1.11's. I'll replace the rears with some J hook plain discs to match. Currently on M tech discs all round.

Missed that mate.

Been back today and have to say, the French folk did a WAY better job than the Germans. Especially on track.

This, and I had heard it could take months...OE manifold: 1300€, new flexi's + welding: 160€

Thanks Ken, I'd expected a scary back-order scenario sadly. If it was just flexi's then I'd have no trouble getting a reconditioned one, but as it's a cat problem it's a little more complex unfortunately! :worried:

So, no emissions lights for two months...

Maybe a few cycles of VPower have cleaned things up enough. Hopefully...

In light of this, and following a lengthy discussion with Sean at Jade Developments we think the best way forward is to get it on the rollers and get a proper idea how it's doing.

Fingers crossed (like really) if everything is ok, we'll press ahead with mapping.

Booked in with Engine Dynamics a week Tuesday. Had a good chat with Andy. Seems a really top bloke.

#worried #hopeful

Good to hear Tractor Boy seems better, I had the same emissions light but also haven't had it since. I've fulled convinced myself it was due to fitting the Akra and the car getting used to it as I'd never had the light come on in the previous 3 years of ownership on the standard exhaust.

Fingers crossed all goes well at Engine Dynamics, which I'm sure it will! I'm itching to get mine to Rs tuning but I've got other things to sort on the car first, maybe one day.

P.s More pictures please :grinning:

It definitely seems like the best way forward Mes, to get it looked at properly. I think we've all been there when some little issue has popped up and we've kind of 'hoped' it would go away over time... But to get a definitive answer will take a big weight off your mind, I'm sure.

Good luck with it all!

Fingers crossed for you mate. I'm still not wholly convinced but at least I know once it's on the dyno we'll know for sure!

Exactly mate. As I said to Matt above, at least we'll have a definite one way or the other, and if it goes how we want it, we'll be driving away with it mapped at last. Will be good to finally get the most out of the mods.

Andy's a good guy Mes. Think you'll like him a lot. The map he put on my 197 first time round was very very good.
My meg Clio will be going back there very soon. That says enough.

you cant go wrong with taking your car to them..they are a very reputable garage as from our members reviews...
