Micah's Glacier White 220 Trophy

Looking good saw a matt white one in a local dealer, the detailer in me cried a little when I saw it - wife liked it though, sadly 'no one was available' to take us on a test driver...on a saturday afternoon...typical Renault dealers.

Like the TPI bolts, just such an obvious thing to be done why dont the manufacturers do this as standard where black wheels are sold on the car?!.

Agree it is very much a different car than the MK3 - obviously Renault tried to lure in new customers not familiar with the brand I feel the Trophy is the kind of 'Renault answer' to the poor feedback to the 'new 200'.

100% agreed with you its a different car for a different buyer, I totally understand the 5 door thing to with this they suddenly open to buyers with kids, if it wasnt an auto only option I would seriously consider one that engine must be spot on...straight for a remap though!.

Been a bit quiet lately as there’s not much I was going to do to the car, but there was one thing that really disappointed me (though completely unsurprised by it), and it’s called... OEM rust!

I mean, just look at it! It was pretty much the same thing with the wheel bolts, truly shocking for a 6 month old car!
Some Hammerite smooth later, and some TPI bolts and the wheels are completely transformed.
Apologies for the lack of cleanliness, that’s a job for this Friday coming.

Next up, installing the RLink software update. Quite a handy thing to be able to do from the comfort of your own home.
But rust weights less so iam told

Nice - I need to do this on my new discs!

Good work on the rusty hubs Micah, and the black bolts make all the difference! Will be nice to see the car in the flesh at CSF this weekend :tonguewink:

Lovely looking car that! Have to say in the rs form they are growing on me! Even in 5 door! Lol

I know what you mean. I always used to park my 200 on this hill and loved looking back at it. Now the same is happening with the Trophy. I think it has its own sense of ‘presence’ - probably helped by the 18” wheels.
As for the 5 doors, I hardly notice, and it’s bloody handy!

Still remember looking out my window early in morning and seeing you with your car jacked up putting them on - wide awake, whilst I was half asleep lol!
