Little update:

Aircon is freezing. Need to buy a hoodie and keep it in the car:wink:

Biggest news is that gearbox feels sumptuous after fresh oil change. I had my doubts wether it was even done last time round... now I'm convinced it wasn't. Coming down through the box at increasingly higher revs and no noticeable crunching like before:grinning::grinning::grinning:. Full test to come later in the week no doubt.

Thanks for looking.

Oh and here's your photo.....

Nice setup you gone for there. I rate the DS2500 highly.
Make sure you bag a passenger lap with our Kev:wink:

Ha, is that your holiday outfit for when you make your trip up North

Great news that you have the car back and all is well. Pity you had to go through all the hassle, hopefully it's worthwhile now you have her back.

Thanks Jimmy. Always nice to be back on the road. Big thing was the gearbox feeling much better. Was so concentrating on a/c issues I didn't give a thought to how gearbox would feel. Brucie Bonus

A few peeps seemed quite shocked when i said fresh gearbox oil had made so much difference (IMO) on mine a week or so ago. I reckon it was even more noticeable last oil change [Many-many more miles on that oil i suspect - and before i got the car]

Was almost like i was making it up a bit.

Glad im not alone in my madness and someone else feels the same ! I'm still convinced its semi-decent quality - and frequent oil changes these box's love....

I had my doubts mate because when I supposedly had mine done last year it made zero difference.
I'll definitely be changing it Yearly from now on though. Shocked at how different it feels.
Best £50 I've spent on her:grinning:

Yeah I was one of those that was surprised, Shuv. I've had mine changed once a year so far and each time I've never noticed anything significantly for the better. Hopefully it's a sign that all was good to begin with, but I ain't tempting fate, not with all the bad luck flying around this forum lately :excited:

That's true Jimmy, you may not be seeing any benefit of new gearbox oil because yours is in tip top condition!
Hope so mate:grinning:

Glad you've now got everything sorted mate!

Can I ask which gearbox oil you put in ? Mines overdue so going to get it sorted shortly.

05:30 start for my Sunday drive out. For those that know the Essex area I took in the sights of Saffron Walden, Thaxted, Dunmow etc...

Gearbox oil change has completly transformed how my gearbox feels. Can select any gear at any revs with no issue at all. Made up:grinning:

Totally smitten with how the old girl is running at the minute. Long may it continue...

Couple of iPhone pics as the sun was threatening to make an appearance

Thanks for looking as always
