Lotus Exige

Thanks for the info, I've never got an actual drive in one so don't actually know, just what I've read up, honestly, I can honestly relate to how you must feel as I seriously considered one before putting a lot of cash into my house, regretting it now seeing yours! Lol

I don't think the pics actually convey how well these look and the presence they have in the flesh!

as above, keeping your bmw is a must if you can pls..so lovely and as you said, the price goes up every year..

Don't regret making your home a nicer place to be mate. Always money well spent and usually a sound investment too.

Go test drive one! Seriously. It's a fun day out if nothing else. If you've driven an Elise chassis car then you have a good idea what to expect, just with a lot more power. But if you haven't, really you must!

And yeah, they don't photograph well at all for some reason. Definitely look better in the flesh! I've found it really hard to capture what my eyes are seeing with a camera.

Unfortunately bud it's not like England, only one dealer here and you only get to look at it, I did get a run as a passenger in the only one in Ireland and they are epic but didn't get to actually drive it :-(

The salesman actually thought I was going to drop 55k on a car without a test drive!!!!

MY GOD!!! Hahahahah. That's absolutely insane. How about options? Were you allowed to know what they were or were you just supposed to guess? You could easily make it a £70k car with a few choice boxes ticked...

Unreal.

Take a trip over here, bring your Mrs. Make a night of it. See how many you can test drive through the day to make up for it!

I'd love a ride in yours too mate. How are you settling into it post mapping?

Yes of course would be happy to oblige!

Very well, actually improved my MPG average lol... because you dont need to use as much throttle day to day, the foot isn't as heavy. Hella funny overtaking though, blips past anything with ease. Treading a little careful as I decided to delay my tyre change until I'm back from holiday, they are on the edge lol!

Took me almost two years to get there mate. Eyes on the prize. You'll get there.

Gaining MPG is a fun side effect of having your car mapped huh?

New tyres will make a big difference too!

Gorgeous car Mes. Can't see the wing mirrors in that photo either:grinning:

Only kidding mate.

HA! Thanks Ben. And honestly, they're going to be constantly on my mind until they're replaced. Which in reality could be years away. I just ignore them!

Bloody Mini Metro mirrors!!!

Gorgeous. Still not keen on the wheels though, but sure I could live with them!

Love these:

Yeah those are the forged option on the new ones. They were not available when mine was built and they're about £2500 ish to buy.

I'm not massively keen on them either though to be honest, although I agree they look a lot better, and they're a good chunk lighter. There's a touch a brand snobbery about Team Dynamics / Rimstock in there for sure, I'm daft like that.

Anyway, wheels will happen one day, but it's most likely going to be some custom made ones because then I can spec them how I want and maybe look at adding a bit of concave on the rear. Possibly BC Forged like these:

However it opens a massive can of worms due to 17's at the front and 18's at the rear. Once you start looking at changing the width, tyre choice becomes a right pain in the arse. Which is why the new ones with the forged wheels have higher sidewalls, and daftly as a result a slightly higher ride height. It's a minefield but one that will be some way off. Going to be a while before I can afford a sandwich let alone some wheels to be honest!
