White Clio 200 cup pack

Good to see you back with another Clio Stu, was at Snetterton a few months ago with your old Clio but it was broken down in the afternoon sadly as i was going to try and grab a passenger ride. Looking forward to see what you do with this one.

Ah yes I think it may have been the clutch that went.. It was back at Beaniesport being fixed not long ago. Gets tracked all the time now! Great car on track that thing and glad to see it being used as it should
It went to the ring recently and spa!
Can't wait to get mine out on track once it's mapped. I'm going to the ring in August

Few small bits arrived today. Heko deflectors & pressed number plates. Small things make quite a difference though in my opinion! Custom mats on the way too. Called RS Tuning to order an ITG maxogen induction kit too to go on whilst it's there for mapping but they might not have one there in time! :'(

Nice one Stu!

Watch the rear ones they not a great fit, one of mine fell off and I took the other off and I never replaced it, and I like it with just the fronts now..

Mine are in as solid as you can get lol.. Sure you put the clips in correctly? Don't put them in a long the top but at each end, sideways. Good news on the ITG maxogen! Called rs tuning and wasn't looking good.. basically they weren't going to get them in till at least the end of next week which was obviously too late. Called ITG directly and the chap told me the same thing but did have one new polished one laying about. He said they can't usually sell them part black part chrome but I said I wasn't fussed about how it looked as I was just doing it for the power gains so he's been incredibly helpful and making sure it gets there for Monday. Looks like something you'd find in a focus rs engine bay lol.. I guess I can get it sprayed black at some point if it really bothers me! I'm booked in for 10am to have the induction kit fitted now @Chris - same time as you?

So it was the long journey this morning up to RS tuning.. Nearly falling asleep as I do multiple times on the way there. Chris's car was already on the dyno when I got there and got to see it run a very impressive 204bhp standard! Mine eventually got on and ran 197.1 standard.. Not too bad I guess as seen some of these running in the 180's. Next to be fitted was the ITG induction. Once ran again it got up to 200.9bhp but more impressively a gain of around 22FTLB torque low down. Then time for the mapping... It ran 225 then followed by 235. Best I saw was 235.9. and torque was dead on 250 which we had some real issues with. My car did about 20 runs! For some reason in 4th gear there was a huge loss of torque on the graph when requesting 300ftlb. Obviously it wouldn't hit 300 but from what I make out the graph allows up to 300 but my car wasn't having it so he had to ask for 250 and it maxed out/capped at that. After smoothing the graph the final printout was 233bhp/250 torque. The car feels completely different. Absolute little beast to drive now and 1st and 2nd gear are so quick you really need to be on it to get the shifts without hitting the limiter in race mode. Pulls stupidly well over 100mph now as well where it used to fizzle out a bit standard. The best part though... the ITG! What a noise lol. Windows down and thrashing it down some country lanes you get an insane induction sound! You really don't need a bov with this induction kit haha! Overall very pleased and couldn't recommend it enough to get these cars mapped!

OVERALL GAIN:
BHP: 35.9
FTLB TORQUE: 73

Oh and my new custom mats arrived with red stitching not that you can see it very well in the pics! :tongueout:

Good results, Stu, really glad you're so happy with it! Big gains for relatively small mods!

I think yours and Chris' reports are starting to tempt some people more and more into mk4 ownership

Nice one Stu.

Sorry I couldn't stick around longer, but glad I went when I read you were at it ages!

250lb/ft is still a great figure, doubt you'd notice an extra 5 or 10 or so anyway. They do really fly don't they!!

Any idea what bens got in the end?

Yeah was a while with the torque issue but was all fine in the end! Because how long I was there as soon as it was done I had to shoot off so didn't get to see what his ran plus it was still having work done when I left.. Pretty sure that guy is the slowest mechanic in the world lol!

bloody hell that looks quick..bet you are over the moon Stu..any track days planned??

Not sure if to do some track time at Donington at FCS (bit expensive in my opinion) plus really not into the whole show thing anymore. I'm going to north weald early next month with a friend so will actually be running it down the strip there lol.

The main reason for not doing much track time yet though is because i'm at the Nurburgring in August! Can't wait to get it out there and throw it about!

yeah that makes sense..cant wait to see some pictures/videos from the ring..gotta a be a rocket now..enjoy mate..

So first problem came up today on a drive home. "Check injection system" & "Check cruise control" something that's gone wrong due to the remap? Think it's quite likely! Will find out next weekend.

Gutted. Car still driving fine ?

Lets hope its something simple. That can be fixed quickly. And cheaply !!

Sorry to hear that, Stu. As above, hopefully it's a straightforward fix for you. You've probably got this on the list anyway, but worth speaking to Paul @ RST about it??

Feels a bit down on power. I'll be popping by Beaniesport next weekend to plug in and see what the problem is. I may give rs tuning a call but I think I know what the reply will be... "you'll need to bring it in for us to have a look" and they're over 3 hours away :-(
