Sideshowfreds Ultra Red 200 -- Fully Caged Track Toy

Small update time. Early start yesterday as finally managed to get the one person with a welder that I know to help me out. As a result I now have a bar to hang the boot net off and I think it looks pretty good. Need to get it painted or powder coated now and trim the door cards to fit but the hardest work is over [emoji4]

Always loved this clubsport look. This is how my TT used to look like

IMG_4048.PNG No it's a 225 mapped to 265 bhp. Agree the QS versions are worth buying as a limited edition they will increase in value over time. I was lucky to get hold of a full QS interior with the rear seat delete and Recaro Pole positions but interior now sold as was made an offer I couldn't refuse.
Lovely cars to drive especially when mapped! Still heavy cars though and not great at handling unless looking to through money at it.

I've been a bit slow about getting the trim back in place. But no spare time at the weekends is slowing me up. Completely screwed up one rear card but new plan in place to make the permanent ones better. Also had the bar coated red which I think looks great.

I'm still considering changing the type of seats I'm running but can't decide what to. Tempted by some Porsche GT3 type reps but not sure they will look right in the Clio. And Pole Positions are way out of budget without selling the CS's and my track wheels which I don't want to do right now.

Haha, we are a bit! Very few UR's on here then we have two almost the same!

No, I sold it before Christmas to fund the boot net idea.

They're really good. Nice friendly atmosphere full of proper car enthusiasts and low numbers of cars.

Funnily enough I was looking at the dates earlier and was going to book one of the Rockingham dates but may be tempted to go to Bedford instead if someone else off here is going.

Now you mention it, Rockingham is probably better for me, being in Manchester.

There's one on the 17th I think, at Rockingham.

18th August was the Rockingham one I was thinking of as I'm actually dog sitting that week and will be 20 minutes away from the circuit so it made perfect sense!

Ah no worries, I'm at the Nurburgring then hopefully so I'll look at the earlier ones

Well over the last few weeks I've been trying to make the interior, specifically the boot, a neater place. Carpet needs fixing down properly and one door card needs re-doing but got the trim all back in place.

Got a few more plans in the pipeline, track wheels have been sold and the Sabelt is following soon hopefully. Well, being removed atleast. As for what's in store, just have to wait and see, the first piece should be sorted over the weekend

No I havn't! Hopefully i'll be able to reveal what I'm planning tomorrow evening. Just trying to work some logistics out first though

Well I got impatient this morning. I've ordered some sidemounts for the new seat this morning but am waiting to see if they match the mounting holes on the seat. On all the info I can find the current Pole Position seats have a distance of 286mm between mounting points but mine is an older one which measures up at 290mm. This happens to be the same as the Sabelt is so needless to say I though I'd see if it fits. Pictures speak a thousand words as they say

I'm going to wait until I have got the sidemounts before ordering up the Recaro adaptor frames as I want to make sure that it will fit correctly. This seat will actually be going on the passenger side when I get the frames sorted and I will be selling my factory CS's and probably buying a brand new PP aslong as there isn't a ridiculous wait from the factory.

Only other decision now is that due to this one having a heavily marked back it's going to need painting or wrapping. Would gloss red backs be too much do you think?

Going to look great ! Good luck getting all the mounts / frames sorted.....

And yes. Red backs would be 'tacky' imo. Cliche as it might be....Carbon ? Or just plain black ? Dark grey to match the dash etc ?
