POTM - March 2017

Well the bloody weather has just turned again this way - was gorgeous and sunny yesterday!

HA HA - saw you'd posted and was expecting a picture !

I feel your pain. Took me "multiple" attempts to get mine with picnickers, cars in shot, sun in my eyes one evening, the water being really choppy etc etc. Unless you very lucky and 'stumble' across just the shot - it takes some planning. And maybe some luck !

***Wont be easy whilst your DIY'ing either

Afraid to disappoint.

Apart from the weather my car is dirty - as per. Which was going to be sorted this weekend but as you know it might be a different reflection I'm getting this weekend...

I actually have a really good idea for a pic but whether it will pan out is a different matter.. in terms of preparing for it and it actually looking as intended!

I had an epic one planned for a couple of months ago.

Three times i tried for it. Twice the weather wasnt playing ball and the last time i got er.....'evicted' from the location !

It's not easy getting the shot you want is it........

It's really not.

I need to find the right lighting at the right time of day in the right spot!!

As my fellow co-host @sevenfourate has put his sterling entry into the mix, I felt it was only right to contribute my own. It was very much a spur of the moment thing with minimal planning - the weather oop North has been truly dreadful; rain and high winds since Saturday, so even though I was out in the Yorkshire Dales for the weekend, it was looking like it was going to be Yorkshire Fails when it came to getting a good shadow photo...

However on the drive home this evening Mother Nature gave me a little helping hand and I was fortunate enough to be heading back to Leeds with a clearing sky and a very low sun... So I whipped her (the car, not Mother M) into a layby and snapped this shot:

iPhone 6 used to take it, so nothing fancy...

Great shot Jimmy  Seize the moment !

My (work) phone is 64gb iphone 6.

It always seems to make everything look dark. Especially the Blue on my car. Do you use it through an app like 'Manual' or just point and shoot ?

Yeah I agree with you on the darkness Shuv. It worked well on the avatar photo, because it seemed to go with the background and the sky etc, but not so much on the above POTM one. That was just point and shoot - I've got an app called 'MuseCam' which I believe is the same idea as Manual, but I haven't really used it to be honest. The resolution on my laptop isn't great, so the entry looked better on the phone display than it does on here...
