MS 200 fun road and track car - and other car stuff!

Very nice indeed!
All you need now are some TPI bolts - M14 1.5 28mm tapered - 17mm hex - black
Anyone would have thought I was on the phone to them today for some reason...

Indeed, it's progressed quite quickly so far. I bought it knowing I needed to spend a chunk to get it where I wanted so there has been a degree of control. :grinning:

Having self control is the hard part . I seem to be always spending money on mine and i hardly drive it

great looking car and very nice upgrades..as everyone else I adore them seats..Where did you find them for sale??are they from another clio??
what will you do regarding the flexis??

Thanks Pav, the seats were trimmed by Edge Automotive and came up for sale on Clio Sport. They were very expensive but given I will get decent money back for my Recaros I thought it would be worth it for something I will enjoy every time I drive the car.

With regards to the flexis, I put a post up elsewhere on this forum asking for options and have been pointed towards the Toyo Sport manifold with some poly engine mount inserts. I will look for somewhere familiar with the job to do it for me as it's a bit beyond my comfort level.

Are you sure? My 2011 build Clio 200 Cup with Speedlines has 19mm hex wheel bolts (and yes, I'm just about to order a black set)

Well, I was sent 17mm bolts last year as wasn't sure if they did the 19mm. Never had any problems with them and look pretty smart when attached.

With thanks to those that helped in the thread about blowing manifold options I took the plunge and ordered a ToyoSports manifold.

I think I will order Powerflex lower engine and gearbox mounts too given the tendency for the TS manifold to knock against the subframe.

I'm in Crewe, Cheshire but don't mind travelling a little for the work, any recommendations?

Just read through the entire thread. Nice car & upgrades. I echo everyone's thoughts on the seats. This car has found a good home!

Powerflex lower engine and gearbox mount inserts arrived today.

I've never used Powerflex before and they're very nicely packaged with neat little freebie key rings.

I'll be interested to hear what you think. I changed mount inserts and bushes in a previous car; it certainly tightened things up...but oh, geeeez, made it hard to live with.
