My 200...an old friend...

Now that is a write up! Great stuff though, I really enjoyed it! I like your honesty too, especially about the mods - mods are very much a personal thing, so who cares if someone else thinks they're chavvy

I think it's a very British way to grumble about poor service, but not necessarily do anything about it. In some circumstances we should complain, or at the very least have a discussion with the company about how we feel about their service. After all, if no one ever points out what a company does badly, how would that company know to ever change??

True indeed, its difficult some people just complain for the sake of it though I f i do complain I like to have a valid reason.

Mods are funny, having only heard about the K Tec induction kit on here I thought it would be a massive risk and a bit OTT, but no very happy. The Akro is louder than i expected, but in a very good way as i said i would describe as Jekyll and Hyde.

Roll cage is pointless for me, but I love the look and correct me if im wrong the car feels more 'stiff' (ohh matron)?.

The harness again I just like the race look and feel, pain in the back side when I just popped to the local garage a mile away.

The car feels very use able which was a concern of mine - love it so far.

Are you saying im not 'serious' :yum: - yeh maybe if I turned up to buy one of the Trophy R's on the forecourt maybe...

Yeh she goes very well indeed, im very happy with the car. :sunglasses:

No no! Not at all mate. My point was you're one of the more serious ones!

Try being in my position mate! Persuading Mrs M to modify HER car has taken some doing!

To be fair, she's just extremely thorough and very careful with money. If I can demonstrate it's worth doing, she gets it.

@Sneydster @Gordini As i posted earlier in the week I sent an email to K Tec regarding my thoughts on the customer service and several emails later I have to say the person I contacted was all over it and he was not happy with the service I was given from start to finish I sent a very detailed recording of events, ie times and dates. In short they have offered me free fitting on a K Tec manifold and K Tec sports cat also to tweak the remap which for me is quite a big chunk of cash so very tempting.

The email I sent was not bashing K Tec, in fact I think if no ones actually feeds back issues to a company how will they know and It appears they actually do care about.

Gordini - I did mention I was aware that you and others (via face book group) had issues where K Tec had not replied to you and again, this ties in with a similar timing as my initial order they dropped the ball on - appears that they had a big internal system/process change and they think this is where things were missed and I am assured this is now corrected also the fact that no one rang me to confirm my car was ready to pickup he confirmed this will not happen again after I had highlighted this as an issue...

@Gordini Blimey, well im glad I got a result for you to, to be honest I didnt know your name so I just mentioned what I could see in your profile i was just literally making the point it was not just me, I mentioned you were from Surrey and had a Gordini and you were in contact in October - hope you didnt mind me adding that in, sounds like someones had a bit of a 'talking to'.

In addition my exhaust they removed from my car they wanted to charge me to get it shipped they said they would get a price and call me, but they didnt - I mentioned this and they shipped it foc and it arrived today much to my wifes shock its a rather large box left outside my house as she couldnt get it in the door on her own....she was really impressed.

Sounds like a really good result, well pleased for you with that outcome. As you say, sometimes it's worth expressing your feelings, and especially in a constructive way - it's clearly a better approach than ranting and raving down the phone at someone, who gives less of a f the longer it goes on!

@Jimmy also its not constructive to go on forums or social media and rubbish them and im sure some people just repeat stories without really knowing all the facts. I'm sure most garages have had a few issues it cant always go right. For example in my opinion, the most 'respected' tuning companies for the 'RS' mention no names I called several times to talk about remaps and to talk about my car as service needed doing also and they were just plain rude to be honest, another 2 companies I contacted several times and no one even called or emailed me back...little odd when I was actually looking to spend some decent coin (in my opinion?).

Yeah I agree with you on that one - and that's the thing about customer service...it's an old saying, but if someone has a bad experience they'll tell 10 people, whereas someone who has a good experience will tell significantly fewer. Same applies to forums - we read lots of a slating, however nowhere near as much praise!

And yeah, because we read so much negative stuff about company X, we automatically assume they're bad at everything, without having had personal experience, in a lot of cases. The opposite applies too though at times...just because company Y has a good reputation, doesn't always mean we'll receive stellar service ourselves...

Fantastic car mate, loved it the second I saw it on Facebook. KTEC have usually been good with me. It have made a few small mistakes and yeah I'm still waiting on a call back too. 3 hour round trip I think I may just get the work and service carried out locally. Even though my OCD likes the same garage I'm the service book haha
