Sticker problem.

I’ve been having a bit of a problem with the stickers on my 197 Team F1 any time I’ve washed the car. Everything goes ok until it comes to drying the car and then I’m faced with this problem.

The car has just turned 5 and I’m guessing the protection on the stickers isn’t as good as it once was. Does anyone know of any way to seal the stickers to stop this from happening?

Are they not just water marks John and just rub off?

I would have though a quick detailer spray or Armouall would bring them up as good as new?

Unfortunately not. I thought they were just water marks at the start and they seem to be brought about by washing the car, maybe its the shampoo doesn't agree with them.

I get that problem as well. I've heard sugar soap works well, just be careful not to get it on your paint work.

I'll give it a go along with the armorall and let you know which works best.

You can buy Armourall in a matt finish

Looks like you have hard water in your area - usually the cause of water spots - a filter which fits to the hosepipe will help

C4 really is great stuff indeed. Its exactly the same stuff as C1 and C5 so it can be used on paint and wheels too. It will last around a year if the prep is correct and a 15ml bottle would cover a complete car (bar the glass) if applied correctly.
