Clio 197/200 engine mount kit... Upgrade

Hi all,

Just looking at the engine mounts upgrade k-tec do for the 197/200.

They seem a good price for all 3 as a kit.

Can anyone give any feedback on these items?

technically only they can tell you.....

i quite like the added vibration....especially when cold - feels more like a "race" engine :thumbup1:

I have all 3 on mine.

When cold there is some vibration, you can see it in the steering wheel.

But once all up to temp they are no issues.

Makes the car feel that little bit more responsive.

I would fully recommend them.

I also have all three. The upper engine mount cracked its mounting after 300 miles usage and ended in a horrendous knocking noise. This was returned to Vibra Technic and repaired FOC. So far the repaired unit has held up okay.

If you think these give more vibration then try the 182 uprated mounts!

I see there are 2 engine mounts from vibra technic:

Left Hand Engine Mount (gearbox end)
Torque link


Where's the third one?

Those are for LHD cars?

on standard 197/200 there are 2 "engine mounts" and 2 "stabiliser bars"

(cam belt) position mount l/h

(gearbox) position mount r/h

(sump pan) lower stabiliser l/h

(cam belt) upper stabiliser l/h

if you use the "k-tec" mount kit there are only 2 mounts and 1 stabiliser as the top l/h one isnt needed if the lower stabiliser is fitted

if you mean the lower one it bolts on to the subframe and to the drivers side support bearing housing for the drivers side driveshaft...
